Free I tells yer!

THQ seem to love those PC owners, in fact they love them so much they are going to give everyone one of them a free game. Well I say every one of them, at least everyone who buys a copy of Metro 2033 on launch day.

Yes, every PC copy of Metro 2033 purchased on day one in the UK will come with a free copy of Red Faction: Guerilla in the box. Xbox 360 owners will have to pay more for their game and get no freebie, seems fair!

The sumptuous looking post-apocalyptic 3D shooter is released on March 19th, for a more in-depth look at the game see our preview here.

Simply Evil!!

The second release of DLC for Resident Evil 5 has just been released by Capcom. Available today on PSN (XBL users could download it yesterday) Resident Evil 5: Desperate Escape pairs Jill Valentine and Josh Stone in a new chapter where they have to escape from the Tricell facility at night.

Players will fight-off unrelenting waves of enemies, guiding Jill and Josh as they race to assist Chris and Sheva in their final showdown with Albert Wesker. If you download Desperate Escape you will also get to play in Mercenaries Reunion as Josh Stone and Rebecca Chambers, rookie S.T.A.R.S. member.

Also available is the second costume pack which features Chris Redfield’s “Heavy Metal” costume and Sheva Alomar’s “Business” outfit.

Talking of evil, RE5: Gold edition which features the original game and all of the DLC (On a singe Blu-ray disk for PS3 or a token to download the extras on 360) will be exclusively available from Game and Gamestation (who are now owned by Game) in the UK. Basically meaning any chance of decent trade-in prices is un-dead. Still it is out March 12th.

On Yer Bike!

Staying with Capcom, the demo version of MotoGP 09/10 is out today on PSN and XBL. The yearly update to the best bike racing game is looking great and now is your chance to get your hands on it. The demo features Championship mode, Time Trial and the new Arcade mode where you can earn time extensions by executing skilful moves.

MotoGP 09/10 is released on 19th March and fans will be able to download the updated 2010 season content for free, shortly after launch.

Capcom has just released its second DLC episode for the critically acclaimed horror game Resident Evil 5. Desperate Escape is now available on Xbox Live and will be available tomorrow, March 4th, on Playstation Network.

This latest addition to the Resident Evil storyline pairs Jill Valentine and Josh Stone in another harrowing lost chapter. Freed of a mind control device, a fatigued Jill has collapsed. Awaken by BSAA agent Josh Stone, Jill and Josh work together to escape from the Tricell facility under the darkness of night. Players will fight-off unrelenting waves of enemies, guiding Jill and Josh as they race to assist Chris and Sheva in their final showdown with Albert Wesker. If you download Desperate Escape you will also get to play in Mercenaries Reunion as Josh Stone and Rebecca Chambers, rookie S.T.A.R.S. member.

Not content with just releasing Desperate Escape, the second costume pack which features Chris Redfield’s “Heavy Metal” costume and Sheva Alomar’s “Business” outfit is also available to download. You can take your newly clothed Chris and Sheva into the Mercenaries Reunion mode too!

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be available across Europe on 12th March and includes the original Resident Evil 5 game plus all the downloadable content to date on a single Blu-Ray disk for PS3. For the Xbox 360, the game includes the original Resident Evil 5 plus a token for all the downloadable content.
