Assassination is all about timing!

Anyone who reads G4A regularly will no doubt know that one of my major bugbear’s with the gaming industry is their complete lack of intelligence when it comes to release scheduling.

With that in mind, is seems a little odd that Eidos has seen fit to release the first of two sets of DLC for Assassin’s Creed 2 titled “Battle of Forli” on the 29th January. This coinciding with the release of both Mass Effect 2 and MAG. To say that the timing seems a little odd is an understatement of huge proportions.

On the plus side the DLC will be relatively cheap compared to other games add-ons at a mere 320 MS points and something like 4 quid on PSN.

The DLC takes place in the town of Forli, which was visited briefly in the main campaign and it should bring in the story of Caterina Sforza. She was the tantalising woman who Ezio rescued by picking her up from a rock on a gondola. She then gave Ezio the come on before Leonardo warned him against perusing any kind of interest. I had thought it strange that she did not crop up again anywhere in the main story and now we know why.

I for one cannot wait to revisit this game and maybe after completing Mass Effect 2 I may just do that!

I finally gave in, and bought Fight Night: Round 4. Loving the game, but not liking the cheek of having to buy extra fighters. Got the game for £20, but still… Getting everything (which can’t be won with hard work – sale only) adds up to a hefty sum.

NFS: Shift is a bit naughty, too – in that, even though you can indeed work for the money to buy extra cars, it also isn’t subtle about giving you the option of paying real cash for them..

With Fight Night in particular, I feel cheated, as I look to pick a fighter and I’m told, ‘Hey son, you gots ta PAY for that guy!’

Fight Night: R4 is a top game. On a similar subject I have given in and brought Tekken 6 and I’m loving it. The load times especially in scenario mode are diabolical even after installing it on my PS3. But other than that it is great.
