Natally Speaking

It seems that Microsoft’s motion control system will be available worldwide sometime in October. Microsoft’s Saudi Marketing Manager, Syed Bilal Tariq confirmed the release date in an interview

October is historically the time to strike for new hardware as buyers start to prepare for Christmas. Natal has been lauded from within Microsoft and their minions (We’re looking at you Molenyeux.) so much is expected from the system when it hits the shelves.

Will it be enough to impact on the Wii? We will find our more at E3.

Oh Brotherhood

More news now on the upcoming sequel/spin-off for Assassin’s Creed 2.

Subtitled The Brotherhood, players will return as Ezio, the protagonist from Assasin’s Creed 2 in a new story set in Rome. Now a legendary assassin Ezio now has a band of fellow harbingers of death  to help him in his quest against the Templars. How you control this band has not been made clear yet but Ubisoft have suggested that a multi-player element will be introduced, a first for the series.

From what information we have right now the multi-player element seems to be geared around battling other online players, so we are crossing our fingers for some co-op story elements too. What is known is that the game is a worldwide production effort led by the Ubisoft Montreal Studio in collaboration with Ubisoft studios in Singapore, Bucharest, Québec City and Annecy (known for developing Splinter Cell Chaos Theory’s Multiplayer), which can only be a good sign.

The Rome setting could supply some breath-taking scenery as this screen of the coliseum suggest.

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is due out late this year for PS3/360/PC. We will know more soon.
