Gaming News 29th Feb

Okay so this day only comes round every four years. This gives my friend a chance to tell everyone he is only 11 when in fact we all know he is 44.

Anyway a couple of interesting bits of release news.

Firstly Sega have unsurprisingly announced that they will be bringing back fan favourite Jet Set Radio. This will be a remake/re-release of the first game and will be available on PSN, XBLA and Windows Digital Download some time in the summer. Featuring classic gameplay and genre defining cell-shaded animation Jet Set Radio rewrote the rule book when released in 2000 (yes we can’t believe it either) and this will enable younger players to get their hands on a true classic.

It is looking very likely this will be an updated HD version unlike, like Crazy Taxi which was a 100% Dreamcast conversion. Sega has also announced a contest to get new pieces of artwork into the game. More details on this will be released in time.

Jet Set Radio is one of our all time favourites and we cant wait to perform some public disobedience again. It also gives us hope for a re-release of Power Stone.

In other release news Airtight Games and Square Enix have confirmed that Quantum Conundrum will indeed be hitting all the PAL regions in the summer. This highly anticipated puzzler will be coming to XBLA, PSN and PCDL.

This puzzler comes from Kim Swift the co-creator of Portal and from what we have seen so far it has some very similar traits. We can’t tell you how excited we are about this one but let’s just say some wee came out.
