Capcom Get Dragon-Punched

Capcom Get Dragon-Punched

Hackers have unlocked 12 characters that were locked away on the retail disc of Street Fighter X Tekken. A total of 12 fighters, Blanka, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy, Sakura,  Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson, and Lei Wulong, were included on the disc that was meant to be a $20 DLC.

The hack came to light when a player claimed he had played Balnka in an online battle on the Xbox 360. The player in question (KemTox) then posted a video on Youtube of the match. Shortly afterwards Capcom and Microsoft were working together to ban any players who were using the hacked discs.

We have always been aggrieved here  on G4A at the sheer level of greediness currently shown by games companies but this one really takes the biscuit. To pack the characters onto the disc and then charge an extra $20 (1200 MS points) for them is nothing short of robbery. This is on top of the full retail price already paid for by the user.

There was a time when sheer endeavour would reward a player with new characters. These days, gaming extras are just seen as a way to line the pockets of companies that are already short-changing players.

Our take on this would be for every player to boycott this DLC and insist on Capcom releasing this bundle for FREE. The chances of that happening are about as slim as Chun Li’s thighs!

Take a look at KemTox video below.
